Caption rewriter (de-slop)
Paste an AI-written caption. Get back a tighter, less AI-sounding version.
What this tool does
Most AI-written captions share the same five or six faults: too many em-dashes, hedge phrases that add nothing, grandiose verbs in place of plain ones, engagement-bait CTAs at the end, and a sentence length that never varies. The fix is editorial — cut what's not earning its place. This tool does the obvious cuts automatically so you can spend your editing time on the parts that matter.
How to use it
- Paste the caption you want to clean up.
- We rewrite it: collapse em-dashes into commas or periods, swap AI verbs for plain ones, strip hedge phrases, shorten the longest sentences, and remove the most obvious engagement-bait.
- Compare side-by-side. Keep what you like; rewrite the rest.
Why it matters
Captions that read human get saved, shared, and remembered. Captions that read AI get scrolled past. The difference is usually one editing pass — and the same editing pass, applied to every post, on every platform, is exactly what the main Claristation product does for you every day.
Questions people actually ask.
Won't this just make all my captions sound the same?
It removes specific verbal tics. The voice underneath — your perspective, your examples, your stories — is untouched. If you started with a caption that had no real voice, you'll end up with a caption that has no real voice but is shorter. That's a feature.
Does it work on long captions?
Yes, up to a few thousand characters. The longer the input, the bigger the percentage cut you should expect.
Can I undo a specific edit?
The before/after view is side-by-side — copy whichever phrases you prefer back into your own draft. We're a cleanup tool, not a replacement for your editorial judgement.
