Hashtag set builder
A balanced set of small, medium, and large hashtags for your profession and topic.
What this tool does
The right hashtag set isn't about volume — it's about balance. A handful of broad, high-volume tags get you instant visibility but zero retention; a handful of niche, low-volume tags get you small discovery with high relevance. The accounts that grow the fastest use a balanced mix calibrated to where they are now, not where they hope to be.
How to use it
- Pick your profession.
- Add the specific topic of the post (a few words).
- We build a set of 20-30 hashtags across three size tiers: niche (small, high relevance), mid (medium, growth tier), broad (large, visibility tier).
- Copy the set, paste into the first comment of your post or the end of your caption.
Why it matters
If you only use #marketing, you're competing with 50 million posts. If you only use #weddingcakedecoratorbrooklyn, you're discoverable only to 12 people. A balanced set means you show up in the searches that matter, without disappearing in the ones that don't.
Questions people actually ask.
How many hashtags should I actually use?
Instagram allows 30 but rewards relevance. 8-15 is the current sweet spot. TikTok rewards 3-6. LinkedIn rewards 3-5. Twitter/X rewards 1-2.
Where should I put them?
Instagram: in the first comment or hidden under line breaks at the end of the caption. TikTok: in the caption naturally. LinkedIn: at the end of the post as a single line.
Does this connect to a hashtag database API?
No external API — we use curated dictionaries by profession. That keeps the tool zero-latency and zero-tracking. The trade-off: less precision than a paid hashtag tool, but for most solo accounts it's enough.
